I personally prefer power metal, and can’t listen to death or black metal at all. But I only use power metal to get work done, or get me pumped for the day. The continually frantic beats and shredding make taking breaks seem a terrible idea, and the continual onslaught is so mind-numbing that I don’t get distracted at all.
